Ait Mena is glad he stuck behind the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach after some fans called for his head after round four.

"After only four rounds, some called for the coach to be sacked, but we chose to wait, and today the work is starting to show results."

The president also opened up about the departure of striker Mbaye Niang, who lasted five months at he club.

"Niang was not able to integrate well into the system, perhaps due to the adaptation period or the different style of play.

"Despite that, he was a very professional player and did not cause any problems, and the contract was terminated by an amicable agreement."
