It has reportedly been revealed why Wydad Casablanca decided against signing Bafana Bafana striker Lebogang Mothiba.
Mothiba arrived in Casablanca late last month and was in attendance as Rulani Mokwena's charges suffered a humiliating 4-1 loss to Maghreb de Fes.

The 28-year-old had been under assessment in the last week with the hope of securing a deal, but the club have since decided not to sign the striker.
According to LeSiteSportInfo, coach Mokwena was not convinced by the South African striker, who has not had competitive action since the end of the 2023/24 season with Ligue 1 club Strasbourg.
The Bafana striker would have been seen as the replacement for Mbaye Niang, who parted ways with Wydad last month despite only joining the Moroccan club four months ago.
Mothiba only made 15 appearances in the French top-flight last season before he parted ways with Strasbourg in June after his contract had expired.

However, Wydad president Hachim Ait Mena recently confirmed the club will bolster their squad during the January transfer window.
"We need to sign at least one striker, and maybe two, to ensure the balance of the squad and achieve the required goals," Ait Mena told Mars Attak.
