According to winwin, several former Wydad players have laid a complaint to the Dispute Resolution Committee of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation over unpaid fees.
It is reported that Yahya Attiat Allah, Badie Aouk, Ayman Hassouni, Jalal Daoudi, Reda Al-Jaadi, Mohamed Ounajem, Al-Sharqi Al-Bahri, Youssef Al-Muti, Imad Al-Khannous and an unnamed foreign player are reportedly owed wages by the club.
This could see Wydad being banned from signing players ahead of the 2024/25 season, which would be a significant blow to Mokwena ahead of his first campaign in charge.
In November last year, rumours in Moroccan media suggested that the club had been handed a FIFA ban on acquiring players after failing to pay ex-star Cheick Comara.
While it was not confirmed that Wydad had indeed received a letter from football's governing body, it appears their sticky financial situation remains unresolved.
