According to Nice Koora, Mokwena has held discussions with the club's new technical director, Hassan Benabicha, over his transfer desires for the upcoming window.
The report claims the South Africa, who is happy in Morocco, has made it clear he wants to sign an additional defender and an extra attacker.
Wydad are currently fifth in the Botola Pro 1 after 12 matches.
Mokwena is said to be convinced of his team's potential to improve, and believes adding to his options will go a long way in helping achieve this.
Benabicha, who represented the Red Castle as a player, was recently appointed to help "strengthen the technical administration within the club".
The ex-player spent his entire career as a player at Wydad before retiring in 1997, and later returned as a sporting director between 2012 and 2014.
