Ait Menna succeeds ex-club chief Said Naciri, who was arrested and is currently behind bars.
Other previous candidates for the position withdrew their interest in taking over as Wydad's president, such as Yacine Saadallah and Anas Kourami.
This left Ait Menna alone in the electoral process, with the 53-year-old having expressed the need for support from the club's fans in order to be able to carry out his plans.
According to Maroc Hebdo, he has visions of restructuring the Red Castle by bringing in new sponsors and opening an official club store.
