Earlier this week, the 58-year-old, via his official Instagram account, said an emotional goodbye to the Black Army faithful as he confirmed his departure from the Moroccan capital.

His post was captioned: "Dear soldiers, out of respect for all the support you have given me, I must clarify the situation. It is with mixed feelings that I announce my journey as coach of AS FAR has come to an end. After a difficult season of hard work and intense moments shared together, it is time for me to say goodbye."

He concluded his message to the club's fans by saying: "I want to express my deep gratitude to all the supporters who have been a constant source of motivation and support. Your unwavering support, encouragement and passion for the club have been incredibly valuable throughout my time here. Know that I gave my all, despite the constraints, along with the technical staff and players, for this great club to finish the season with a title. The reality on the field decided otherwise, and as hard as it may be, we must accept."

With the Monastir native now reportedly poised to take the reins at Naturena, the latest Botola Pro Inwi runners-up have decided to appoint Hussein Ammouta in his place, according to beIN Sports.

The Moroccan tactician recently left his role as the head coach of the Jordan national team, and now looks set to succeed Nabi at FAR.

ASEC Mimosas head coach Julien Chevalier was previously mooted to become FAR's new boss, but it seems the club's executives have decided to go in the direction of the 2016/17 CAF Champions League winner as they look to reclaim their league title.
