Sources close to Raja Club Athletic have revealed the decision made on potentially hiring a former Orlando Pirates boss.

The Green Eagles' 2-1 win over Union Touarga Sportif in the Botola Pro Inwi was not enough to save Ricardo Sa Pinto from being sacked by the Moroccan champions.
During his 11-match stint with the North African juggernauts, the Portuguese tactician only won two matches, losing encounters to JS Soualem, AS FAR Rabat, and Mamelodi Sundowns in the process.
A side that went unbeaten in the Moroccan top flight last season is now in search of their third permanent managerial appointment of this campaign, and a name that has been linked with the Raja top job is the man who led them to their invincible run during the 2023/24 campaign, Josef Zinnbauer.
The 54-year-old helped the team from Casablanca become the first side in the nation's top-division history to finish an entire season without losing a single match, as they ended it by winning the league and cup titles.
He was, however, ultimately lured away from the home of the three-time African champions this past off-season by Saudi Pro League side Al-Wehda. His stay in the oil-rich kingdom was not as fruitful, as he lost nine of his 15 matches in charge of the Knights of Mecca.
The Saudi outfit decided to part ways with the German tactician earlier this month, and now it seems that he is on the lookout for a new challenge. The former Pirates boss has been linked with a possible return to Raja, but sources close to the situation have reliably informed Soccer Laduma that a reunion with the side is not on the cards.
Current club president Adil Hala is understood to have been unhappy with the manner in which the Schwandorf native left the club during the off-season and harbours no willingness to welcome him back.

Soccer Laduma has also been informed that Zamalek were presented with the opportunity to hire Zinnbauer after Jose Gomes' recent departure, but the White Knights decided against it and chose to get a former manager of their own in Swiss boss Christian Gross.
