Since arriving in the Egyptian capital in 2016, the attacking left-back has been a fan favourite for the Red Devils faithful.
In his seven years at the club, the Tunisia international not only won the affection of the Ahly fans, but a lot of trophies too.
The 85-cap Tunisian has won five Egyptian Premier League titles, four Egyptian Super Cup championships, three Egypt Cups and two CAF Super Cups, and is also a three-time winner of the CAF Champions League with the north African giants.
Add to that his two bronze medals from the FIFA Club World Cup in 2020 and 2021, and it is perhaps safe to say that the goalscoring defender has been successful in Cairo.
However, as the 33-year-old enters the final 12 months of his current deal with the club, speculation over a possible exit continues to grow.
According to a news outlet from the fullback's homeland, Foot24, Maaloul has received a number of offers from teams in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, which are believed to be very attractive to the player.

The same report suggests that the record African champions's head coach Marcel Koller is keen to keep hold of him, though, with rumours suggesting that the Swiss tactician wants Maaloul gone said to be wide of the mark.
