The pots for the draw of the qualification groups for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations were revealed by Caf and Bafana Bafana could face any of the four 2019 semi-finalists as well as Zimbabwe's Warriors potentially.

The 2019 edition is not even finished yet but Caf are already looking ahead towards the 2021 tournament in Cameroon. The draw of the 12 qualification groups will take place in Cairo on Thursday, with South Africa finding themselves in pot 2.
As a consequence, Stuart Baxter's side, who reached the quarter-finals of the African showpiece for the first time since 2000, could find themselves in a tough qualifier group once again.
One of the 12 top-ranked Africa teams, including the last-four at this year's tournament, as well as hosts Egypt, who were sent packing following a heroic performance by Bafana, will definitely be in South Africa's group, with one team from the feach of the first four drawing pots to be drawn in each group on Thursday.

In addition, teams such as Zimbabwe, Afcon surprise package Madagascar or Bafana's group stage opponents Namibia could be drawn into the same group from pot 3.
Here are all five drawing pots as announced by Caf:
Pot 1: Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria, Morocco, Congo DR, Ghana, Cameroon (hosts), Egypt, Burkina Faso, Mali, Ivory Coast, Algeria
Pot 2: Guinea, South Africa, Cape Verde, Uganda, Zambia, Benin, Gabon, Congo Brazzaville, Mauritania, Niger, Kenya, Libya
Pot 3: Madagascar, Zimbabwe, Central African Republic, Namibia, Sierra Leone, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Angola, Malawi, Togo, Sudan, Tanzania
Pot 4: Burundi, Rwanda, Equatorial Guinea, eSwatini, Lesotho, Botswana, Comoros, Ethiopia plus four preliminary-round winners
Pot 5: Liberia, Mauritius, Gambia, South Sudan, Chad, Sao Tome e Principe, Seychelles, Djibouti

Note: Teams in Pot 5 will face each other in a preliminary qualification round, with the four winners being added onto Pot 4.
