Final Five Spots For 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations Confirmed

The final five spots for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations have now been confirmed, with South Africa, Benin, Zimbabwe, Congo DR and Guinea-Bissau securing their tickets to the tournament on Sunday.

DR Congo 1-0 Liberia   DR Congo secured a spot at the Africa Cup of Nations finals after edging Liberia 1-0 at the Stade de Martrys in Group B.   Cedric Bakambu was the match winner with a 52nd minute finish to send his nation to the tournament.   Central African Republic 0-0 Guinea   Central African Republic and Guinea cancelled each other out with a goalless draw at the Barthelemy Boganda Stadium in Group H.   The result sends the visitors through to the finals, behind the group winners Ivory Coast.   Cape Verde 0-0 Lesotho   Lesotho failed to get the desired result for a maiden appearance at Afcon following a goalless draw at Cape Verde in Praia.   The Basotho nation struggled to get a breakthrough, with the Islanders more potent in every area of the sphere, as both miss out on qualification.   Read: Chiefs Star Helps Zimbabwe Clinch AFCON Ticket   Benin 2-1 Togo   Benin sealed passage to the tournament following a 2-1 win at home to Togo at the Stade de'l' Amitie in Group D.   After finding the breakthrough courtesy of a 12th minute effort from David Djigla, the Togolese struck back through veteran forward Emmanuel Adebayor on 76 minutes.   Huddersfield Town's Steve Mounie secured the victory for the home side with an 83rd minute finish as Benin advanced to their first finals since 2004.   Tanzania 3-0 Uganda   Tanzania advanced to their first Afcon in 40 years with a 3-0 beating of Uganda at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium.   The Tanzanians' positive display was glaring from the onset as Simon Msuva broke the deadlock on 21 minutes.   With Uganda looking for a comeback, Erasto Nyoni doubled the home side's lead from the penalty spot after 51 minutes before Aggrey Morris rounded off the scoring seven minutes later.
