What was originally expected to be a minor knock turned out to be much more severe, with his agent revealing that they had taken the decision for Salah to rehabilitate at Melwood, Liverpool's training ground, instead of keeping him with his national team.
The three-time Premier League Golden boot winner has insisted that he will return to the Pharaohs once he was fully fit, but many have questioned why the attacker did not stay and recover in the Ivory Coast.
Jurgen Klopp came to his talisman's defence, stating that, on Merseyside, he would get proper treatment.
Former Egypt and Ajax Amsterdam striker Mido is, however, not buying that.

After seeing his compatriot share some pictures on Instagram of him doing some recovery exercises in England, the vocal ex-marksman fired some subtle shots at Salah, saying on his official X account: "Oh, these exercises are so dirty and rigid, it is difficult to do them except in Liverpool."
