Guinea 1-0 Malawi
Guinea started their Group B campaign with a slender 1-0 win over Malawi on Monday evening.
Malawi were without Orlando Pirates forward Gabadinho Mhango who tested positive for Covid-19, while Baroka's Richard Mbulu was named on the bench.
It was the Guineans who broke the deadlock 10 minutes before the halftime break, with Idrissa Sylla firing past Ernest Kakhobwe.
Guinea will now gear up for a clash with Senegal, who defeated Zimbabwe earlier in the day.

Morocco 1-0 Ghana
Ghana began their Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a defeat after going down 1-0 to Morocco on Monday evening.
The Ayew brothers, Jordan and Andrew, started in the attack for the Black Stars while Thomas Partey was back in the side after missing the last two World Cup qualifiers.
The game was evenly posed until the Moroccans broke the deadlock in the 83rd minute when Sofiane Boufal reacted quickest to a loose ball before riling one into the far corner.
The Black Stars will look to bounce back against Gabon later this week, while Morocco take on Comoros in their next Group C encounter.
Comoros 0-1 Gabon
Gabon got off to a winning start in Group C after defeating Comoros 1-0 on Monday night.
Gabon were without the services of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mario Lemina both tested positive upon their arrival in Cameroon.
The absence of the star duo did not have a major effect as Aaron Boupendza's left-footed strike in the first half was enough to secure maximum points.
