2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying Wrap

Morocco recovered from their slow start to pick up their first victory in Group E after thumping Burundi 3-0 at Stade Intwari in Bujumbura.

Noussair Mazraoui and Youssef En Nesyri got two first-half goals for the Atlas Lions before Achraf Hakimi sealed the three points with seven minutes remaining.

Ethiopia pulled off a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Ivory Coast in Group K at Tigray Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

Moctar El Hacen and Diallo Guidileye netted in either half for Mauritania, who clocked four points after two matches, while CAR remain on three points after winning their opener against Burundi.

Libya 2-1 Tanzania

Ten-man Libya got their first three points in Group J after edging Tanzania 2-1 at Stade Mustapha Ben Jannet.

Mbwana Samata got the opener for the Taifa Stars in the 18th minute but Mosaud Sabbou levelled matters for the Mediterranean Knights in the 67th minute.

Anis Saltou snatched the lead for the hosts nine minutes before time, while the hosts also had Hamdou Elhouni dismissed in the last three minutes.

Tunisia maintained their perfect start after edging Equatorial Guinea 1-0 in Group J thanks to a lone strike by by Wahni Khazri at Nuevo Estadio de Malabo.

The Carthage Eagles top the pool with a maximum six points, while Equatorial Guinea were left bottom of the group, without points after losing their second straight match.
