Pienaar went onto achieve cult hero status with English Premier League side, Everton FC, where made 229 appearances, scoring 26 goals and making 45 assists across two spells.
He formed healthy on-pitch relationships with Leighton Baines, Marouane Fellaini and Yakubu under the tutelage of David Moyes and featured prominently in a competitive Everton side in the early 2000s.
Blessed with sleek skills, neat finishes and the work ethic to match, Pienaar quickly became one of the best left wingers in the Premier League and is fondly remembered by the Toffees fans till this day.
