The story
Mamelodi Sundowns defender Lucas Suarez is making the most of his international break with a trip to Zanzibar!
Suarez had a day to forget in Downs' 2-1 loss to Orlando Pirates on Sunday. At times, he struggled to cope with Evidence Makgopa's pace and physicality.
He was directly involved with both goals conceded with Relebohile Mofokeng, netting two goals in the opening five minutes.
Nonetheless, the Argentine remained true to form with his contributions to distribution and controlling the tempo of their build-up play.
He was replaced by Thapelo Morena in the 69th minute, as the Brazilians were chasing an equaliser just moments after Khuliso Mudau's goal.
Suarez turned 30 on Monday and has been enjoying the island life in Zanzibar, Tanzania, with his family. He shared footage of him playing a drum and making his way through the bustling markets.
He was also seen celebrating his toddler's 3rd birthday and shared snaps of both of their birthday dinner celebrations.
