Orlando Pirates could be on the verge of promoting another promising young talent, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, to their first team, the Siya crew has been informed.
The 19-year-old defender has been making significant strides in his development, captaining the Pirates DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) side and earning praise for his leadership and technical ability.

Mbokazi has already been training with the first team while continuing to feature for the reserves, signalling his growing importance within the club.
Head coach Jose Riveiro has been highly impressed by the youngster's performances in training, particularly his work ethic and composure on the ball.
With his skillset, Mbokazi is seen as a potential future centre-back partner for Thabiso Sesane, another product of Pirates' thriving youth academy.
A naturally left-footed defender, Mbokazi has earned glowing reviews from coaches and spectators alike for his passing accuracy, both long and short.
His ability to take precise free-kicks adds another dimension to his game, making him a well-rounded prospect.
With Pirates dealing with an injury crisis in defence – most recently losing Sesane to a long-term setback – Mbokazi could be nearing being handed his senior debut.
According to sources, he is in line to follow in the footsteps of recent development graduates like Siyabonga Ndlozi and Mohau Nkota, who have successfully transitioned into the first team this season.

"He (Mbokazi) is doing very well, and the head coach has taken note of his progress. There is no rush, but his talent and high work-rate won't be overlooked. As you know, the senior team coach rewards hard work and he is a great believer in young players. His time is coming," said the source.
If his progress continues at this rate, Mbokazi could soon be the latest youngster to shine for the Buccaneers.
