The story
It's been nearly six years since Bafana Bafana broke Egyptian hearts at AFCON 2019, thanks to then Orlando Pirates forward, Thembinkosi Lorch.
"Nyoso" scored a dramatic 85th-minute winner in front of a packed Cairo International Stadium, securing Bafana Bafana a 1-0 victory over hosts Egypt and booking a quarter-final with Nigeria, who knocked Stuart Baxter's men out with a narrow 2-1 win.
Tau, who was a livewire throughout the match, played a neat through ball to release striker, Lebo Mothiba, who played in a perfectly-weighted pass to Lorch.
The ex-Buccaneer showed plenty of composure to coolly slipped the ball past El Shenawy, an iconic goal that proved to be Lorch's only goal for the men's senior National team.

This goal launched Lorch into superstardom, resulting in the 31-year-old being dubbed as "Moses" after the game and inspired Amapiano hitmakers, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small to dedicate a song to him, appropriately titled, "Lorch."
With South Africa and Egypt being again drawn in the same group for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Morocco this December, the likes of Relebohile Mofokeng, Oswin Appolis and Lyle Foster among other attackers will be desperate to repeat the 2019 result.
Hugo Broos' side will kick off their AFCON 2025 Group B campaign against Angola in Marrakech on 22 December, followed by a match against top seeds Egypt in Agadir on Boxing Day, 26 December, and will conclude the group stage against Zimbabwe in Marrakech on 29 December.
