According to reports, Kaizer Chiefs look set to sign Congolese attacker Glody Lilepo and the Siya crew now looks at what the player offers on the pitch.
The Congolese attacker has been playing in the French third tier for Valenciennes, a club he joined in 2023. Amakhosi are expected to free up a foreign slot with Christian Saile set for a move before the close of the window and this should give the Soweto giants an opportunity to register Lilepo.

Chiefs spent most of their money investing in their defence before the start of the campaign and have now made it a priority to bolster their attack in 2025. Lilepo could play a big role in how the team goes forward.
Born in Kinshasa, the 27-year-old has an ability to play from both wings, but could be more effective coming from the left flank, which allows him to cut into play and use his right foot to take shots at goal. He has the skill and pace to beat defenders and Chiefs may feel that they need more of that in attack.
His strong physique and balance make it difficult for defenders to contain him at times and that's where Amakhosi could benefit, as they need forwards who can bulldoze their way into the opposition box. He could also be one of the set piece takers at the club, having shown an ability to whip in good crosses and take shots at goal.
His experience of previously playing in the CAF Confederation Cup will come in handy, especially if Amakhosi do return to continental football in future. He featured for Sudanese club Al Hilal in the CAF Champions League during the 22/23 campaign. He scored five goals during the campaign as Hilal bowed out in the group stages. During that same campaign, he featured against Mamelodi Sundowns in the group phase.

He also played against Marumo Gallants in the Confederation Cup when he was with AS Vita in 2021/22.
This season, Lilepo has scored four goals in 14 appearances for Valenciennes, with two assists to his name.
