The story
Stellenbosch-bred midfielder Jayden Adams is edging closer to sealing a big move to Sundowns after local reports indicated last week that the defending Betway Premiership have successfully pursued the youngster.
Adams travelled to Tshwane today to complete his highly anticipated move to Masandawana, where he's set to undergo a medical this afternoon and officially sign his contract.
Sundowns had been pursuing Adams' signature since last season under coach Rulani Mokwena, but an agreement with Stellenbosch couldn't be reached at that stage.
With the latest bid now being accepted, Adams received a fitting farewell from his Stellenbosch teammates before jetting off to Gauteng.
Stellies utility player Kyle Jurgens shared a snap on his Instagram stories, with teammates Liam de Kock, Thulani Dlamini, Athenkosi Mcaba and Devon Titus gathered at a restaurant to celebrate Jayden:
On the pitch, Adams enjoyed quite the send-off in Stellies' 2-0 win over Stade Malien, scoring in his final match and helping the team reach the CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinals.
