Wydad Athletic Club president Hicham Ait Menna has finally broken his silence regarding rumours that the club are in talks to sign Percy Tau.

It seems that the South African attacker is edging closer to the Club of the Century's exit door. With the Witbank native in the final year of his contract, reports are yet to surface suggesting that the two parties are in negotiations over an extension.
All the news emerging from Egypt has, in fact, stated that the Red Devils are ready to part ways with the 2023 CAF Interclubs Player of the Year.
With the mid-season window only a few weeks away and the revamped FIFA Club World Cup on the horizon, speculation that Tau is headed out of the Cairo International Stadium has ramped up. As a consequence, the Bafana Bafana star has been linked with a plethora of possible destinations.
In recent days, it has been alleged that Ahly have agreed to sell the former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker and his teammate Reda Slim to Wydad. However, the Red Castle's head executive, Ait Menna, has now stated otherwise.
"We will not enter into negotiations with Al-Ahly duo Reda Selim and Percy Tau, and there has been no communication with the duo to contract with them in the upcoming transfers," the Moroccan executive told Radio Mars.

"What was recently circulated about the approaching signing of the Al-Ahly duo, Reda Selim and Percy Tau, is baseless, and we did not enter into negotiations with any of them."
