According to West Ham United icon Paulo Di Canio, the Red Devils made a significant error in parting ways with Scotland international McTominay.
The 27-year-old joined Napoli in the most recent transfer window, and has already endeared himself to Gli Azzurri supporters in his short time at the club.
"I would go to those at Manchester United to arrest all the directors – how can you give away McTominay?" he said, as per Il Mattino.
"McTominay scored goals, he carried the cross, he had determination and yet they kicked him out!
"Nothing works at Manchester United, a club that only does stupid things, you can't guess anything."
McTominay has featured five times for Napoli so far this season under manager Antonio Conte, contributing to an impressive three goals in the process.
