The story
Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana legend, Siphiwe Tshabalala turned 40 last week Wednesday (25 September), and commemorated his milestone birthday with a glittering get-together.
Shabba was surprised with an elegantly decorated surprise birthday party, where he rocked a sleek black suit and tie, while his wife Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala, the orchestrator of the surprise, stunned in an angelic white gown.
The legendary midfielder thanked his wife and luxury event planners, Nono Events for planning the seemingly black tie-themed function, which was also attended by Amakhosi legend Doctor Khumalo.
Shabba's close friend, former teammate and fellow Chiefs legend, Reneilwe Letsholonyane was also in attendance to celebrate the special occasion.
Former Miss South Africa, Montjane-Tshabalala reflected on how difficult it was to plan the surprise party and was candid about how she tricked her hubby last Wednesday evening:
"Last week on the 25th of September my hubby turned 40 and I told him I'm taking him out for a private dinner and that he should dress to kill! Little did he know, I had called a few people he's close with to come and celebrate his big milestone with him," wrote Shabba's wifey on Instagram.
"Throwing him a surprise party was quiet a mission. Monna Waka (My love) I hope you enjoyed every moment as you entered the 4th floor. I hope this day was super special. You looked shocked but most importantly you looked so so happy and THAT is more than enough for me.
"You deserve everything good in this life, you deserve everything beautiful in this world. You deserve for every dream of yours to come true, every passion to be experiences and to continue to live a life beyond your wildest dreams! Thank you for all you are and continue to be for me and the kids," read Bokang's heartfelt tribute to her husband.
