Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has now been linked with a shock move after spending the last year without a club.
The Spaniard has been without a club since end of the 2022/23 season after parting ways with the Red Devils.

De Gea spent nine years at Old Trafford and won eight trophies while racking up 545 appearances during that period.
According to transfer journalist Nicolo Schira, the 33-year-old has been offered a return to top-flight football with Serie A outfit Genoa.

The former United star was linked with the likes of Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest a few months ago, while teams in the Saudi Pro League are said to be keen.
However, reports claim De Gea has no desire to make the switch to the middle east and is keen on a European move.
De Gea won the Premier League Golden Glove in his final season with United, but has just been training by himself for the last 12 months as he looks for a new club.
