Upon his retirement from football, the polarising striker did not take a sabbatical from the beautiful game, and was immediately appointed as advisor to AC Milan's ownership group RedBird.
He is believed to have been assisting in building the club's new sporting project under new manager Paulo Fonseca.
According to Football Italia, one of the first things he advocated for was the establishment of an U23 side in Serie C.
The Scandinavian wanted to follow in the footsteps of clubs such as Atalanta and Juventus in doing so, and the Rossoneri have since successfully created the Milan Futuro side.
It has now been confirmed that one of the players who will be playing in the third division will be Ibrahimovic's son, Maximilian Ibrahimovic.

The young attacker is understood to have signed a three-year deal with the six-time European champions, and in a bid to get him more experience at a higher level, the 17-year-old will be playing under the tutelage of Daniele Bonera for the duration of the 2024/25 season.
