Veteran Portugal defender Pepe has been linked with a surprise return to LALIGA ahead of the new season.
The 41-year-old is currently a free agent as his contract with Portuguese giants FC Porto was not renewed and he is yet to announce his retirement.
Pepe is currently on holiday after competing at the 2024 European Championship with Portugal, who lost to France on penalties in the quarter-finals.

According to Superdeporte, Spanish side Celta Vigo are now considering a move for the former Real Madrid star ahead of the new season.
Pepe was a regular for Porto last season after making 34 appearances across all competitions, but it remains to be seen if the club will offer a new contract.
The report adds that Celta Vigo manager Claudio Giraldez is not entirely convinced by his current defensive options heading into the new campaign.

Joseph Aidoo, Oscar Mingueza, Carl Starfelt and Unai Nunez are currently the only central defensive options, but Pepe's arrival could shore things up.
Pepe has great experience in the Spanish top-flight, having racked up 229 appearances for Madrid, where he also won three league titles.
