The story
As reported on Monday, Kaizer Chiefs defender Sphiwe Given Msimango is ready to take his relationship with long-term partner, Bontle Makgalo to the next level.
The centre-back sent over his lobola payments, with the couple being joined by friends and family at a lobola negotiations ceremony.
Msimango's future makoti and in-laws were greeted at their gates, as custom to Lobola negotiations across several cultures and ethnic groups.
The future Mrs Msimango shared plenty of footage of the special day, which united both her and Given's families for the first time.
Bontle's IG stories showed her sharing a wholesome moment with her mother, her future mother-in-law, with plenty of dancing between the two families.
The footage shared by Bontle also shows Given partaking in a Lobola tradition that tasks the groom to identify his bride from three women hiding under blankets, luckily for the former TS Galaxy skipper, he managed to identify his soulmate.
