Man Utd Overhaul: Ratcliffe 'Transfer-Lists' 10 Players

Man Utd Overhaul: Ratcliffe 'Transfer-Lists' 10 Players

Manchester United's new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly transfer-listed 10 players in what he hopes will be a significant squad overhaul.

As per a report from Manchester Evening News, as many as 10 players could be heading for the club's exit doors at the end of the season following Ratcliffe's arrival.

This news comes out as the Red Devils prepare to go up against rivals Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on the weekend, a game not many are backing Erik ten Hag's men to win.

The British billionaire, whose company INEOS now owns a minority stake in United, has taken charge of footballing operations at the club in a bid to return the 20-time league champions back to the top of the English and European game.

Speaking recently, Ratcliffe said: "Ultimately, the level we want to get Manchester United to is not the level we are at. That takes time. It's not just about players, it is the whole machine. There are thousands of people in that machine and we need to get that machine working really well."

With the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules making serious spending unlikely, Ratcliffe is said to be hoping to raise funds by selling underperforming players ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

The Manchester-based publication claims that Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof and Facundo Pellistri, whose deals expire in 2025, have been seemed sellable, along with Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

Further up field, attackers Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Antony could be sold, with the former pair currently out on loan at Borussia Dortmund and Getafe, respectively.

Other player loan this season are Hannibal Mejbri, Alvaro Fernandez and Donny van de Beek, and they are also believed to be available for sale come the end of the season.

A change of personnel is considered necessary by supporters of the fallen English giants, who last won the Premier League in 2013, during Sir Alex Ferguson's final campaign in charge before his retirement.

United are currently sixth on the table after 26 matches, eight points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa and three points behind Tottenham Hotspur.
