According to Cadena SER, the 25-year-old's entourage has held talks with Manchester City.
This follows on from the news that Mbappe communicated to the French giants that he will be leaving as a free agent at the conclusion of this campaign.
While Real Madrid are still considered favourites to land his signature, the discussions with the Citizens perhaps show he is still keeping his options open.
Mbappe, PSG's all-time record goalscorer, has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past, with clubs such as Liverpool and Arsenal.
The France captain went close to joining Los Blancos in 2022 before he decided to pen a two-year extension in Paris at the last minute.
While Real president Florentino Perez was left annoyed by that situation, it is said he respected Mbappe's decision to personally contact him to explain his call at the time.
