Following an injury he sustained earlier this year, former Amakhosi defender Teenage Hadebe returned to Houston Dynamo's starting XI in their 4-1 MLS win over Vancouver Whitecaps in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The 28-year-old missed 27 matches across all competitions after undergoing surgery, and completed the 90 minutes as his team marched to a comfortable victory.
Hadebe's return to the field comes at a welcome time for the Texas-based outfit, who will be going up against Inter Miami in the Open Cup final next week Thursday.
While the Zimbabwean is back in action, question marks over Messi's fitness remains after he was substituted before half-time of the Herons' 4-0 thrashing of Toronto this week.
Miami head coach Gerardo Martino admitted concern when asked whether the Argentine would be fit to play, though said in his post-match interview that the 36-year-old is suffering from fatigue.
