While it has only been a matter of weeks since it shut, however, Real are said to already be planning acquisitions for the next two off-season transfer windows.
The Spanish giants are looking to plug some major holes in their squad and one of those is in the right-back position.
Current club captain Dani Carvajal has come under immense scrutiny in recent seasons for his performances, and it is for this reason, according to Diario AS, that they have identified Reece James as the player they want to succeed the Spaniard.
The record European champions are believed to appreciate the London native's world-class defensive and attacking capabilities, and are reportedly looking to bring him to the club in 2025.
With James having recently signed a long-term extension with the west Londoners, however, luring him away from his boyhood club may prove difficult, even in two years' time.
The same report claims that he forms part of a three-man wish list that also includes Kylian Mbappe and Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davis as the main marquee signings president Florentino Perez wants to bring to the club over the next two years.

Mbappe is expected to be the first of those, with his arrival potentially taking place at the end of the campaign, but this is contingent on whether or not he extends his stay with Paris Saint-Germain this season.
