There is an update on Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana midfielder Thembinkosi Lorch regarding his sentencing.
In July, Lorch had his sentencing postponed to today (4 September) after he made a brief appearance at the Randburg Magistrates Court in Johannesburg.

The football star had been found guilty in June of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Fundiswa Nokuphiwa Mathithibala in 2020.
After another brief appearance at the Randburg Magistrates Court, the 30-year-old has had his sentencing postponed yet again.
The sentencing has now been postponed to October.
Lorch is yet to feature for the Soweto giants so far in the 2023/24 season.

The Buccaneers previously reported that the player was injured although he has since made progress and resumed training.
