Last week Khan, who helped develop the midfielder from the age of 15 at the famed Stars of Africa Academy, revealed that Tito's displays in a Pirates jersey was not a surprise to him.
He then went on to say that the 25-year-old, who scooped back-to-back Man of the Match awards for Pirates, deserves to be called up to the national team.
"I think we obviously feel that Tito is the type of player that can go all the way.
"Soon people will be talking about him in Bafana, I suppose, I said the other day, I can't understand why he's not yet in Bafana," Khan told the Siya crew.
With Themba Zwane having suffered an injury in their MTN8 semi-final against Kaizer Chiefs, there was hope that Maswangangyi would be called up to replace 'Mshishi' but the the Siya crew understands that red-hot Chiefs star Pule Mmodi, who has formed part of Broos' setup before could crack the nod.
Maswanganyi since making the switch to Pirates at the end of the 2022/23 season has featured in six matches so far and has chipped in with five goal contributions, scoring two goals and laying on three assists in that time.
