With the Red Devils still tipped to try to strengthen in the middle of their park before the window closes, rumours suggest that Tottenham Hotspur have been in contact with their EPL rivals over Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's availability.
The 28-year-old appears surplus to requirements at Spurs following the arrival of new manager Ange Postecoglou, who has preferred using Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr ahead of the former Bayern Munich player so far in this campaign.
According to The Telegraph, the Denmark international was heavily linked with a switch to Atletico Madrid earlier in this window, but he and the Spanish club failed to reach an agreement over personal terms.
It is claimed Hojbjerg then decided to turn down approaches from teams in Saudi Arabia, with the Lilywhites having now offered United the opportunity to secure his signature.

The 20-time English champions have also been linked with Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat, although the same outlet claims the club has insisted that their interest in the Moroccan has been blown out of proportion.
