The Herons' head coach Gerardo "Tata" Martino has insisted that he has noticed a considerable difference in the Rosario native's demeanour ever since his arrival in Florida.
The legendary attacker has been an instant sensation for his new team and in the United States of America as a whole, scoring eight goals in his first five matches in the country.
Martino, who previously managed the 36-year-old at both Barcelona and the Argentina national team, has attributed the forward's early success in the US to being "calmer", and a new environment having something to do with that.
"You see it in the field; I don't have to tell you, but he's a lot calmer, much happier," the veteran tactician said, as per Goal.
"Being happy also has to do with where he's been."
The forward is still yet to make his Major League Soccer debut, having scored all his goals for Inter Miami in the Leagues Cup, in which he is just a goal ahead of South African Bongokuhle Hlongwane, who plays for Minnesota United, as the competition's top scorer.
