After the Siya crew reported how negotiations could have previously been effected, Kaizer Chiefs are now still weighing their options for winger George Lehlogonolo Matlou.

Despite having already played their first game of the season against Chippa United on Sunday, it seems Amakhosi haven't finalised their squad for the 2023/24 season with regards to both outgoing and incoming transfers.
Sources have indicated that one of the players who could leave is Matlou whom the Siya crew previously reported could stay until the end of his contract in June next year.
The sources have now added that Matlou could be loaned out or released altogether, and why the status of the player could have changed.
"The team is looking at options for George (Matlou). They are weighing their options," the Siya source said.
"There have been teams which were interested in him but nothing really came up. Chiefs wanted to keep him until next year when his contract expires but after the arrival of other wingers like Tebogo Potsane and Pule Mmodi, they feel they don't need him.
"So, now they would want him to find a team where he can have game time. So, if something comes up before the close of the window period, it will work for him and the team as well," said the source.
Last season the 25-year-old played 12 league games where he provided one assist but didn't score a goal.
Efforts to get a comment from Chiefs were unsuccessful as the club didn't respond at the time of preparing this story.
