Paris Saint-Germain's management have reportedly sent a formal response to Kylian Mbappe following their president's recent comments that the Frenchman will be sold if he does not sign a new contract.

Earlier this week, Nasser Al-Khelaifi addressed Mbappe's desire to leave the Ligue 1 champions at the end of the 2023/24 season in an interview that followed the club's unveiling of new manager Luis Enrique.
The chief explained that he would not entertain the idea of the Frenchman parting ways with PSG for free, and admitted to having been "shocked" and "disappointed" with the forward's decision to communicate those intentions to the club.
According to L'Equipe, the French side has now sent a formal response to the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, indicating to the No. 7 that they would prefer that he extended his contract at the club.
However, it reportedly also states that they would be willing to sell him in this transfer window should he hand in a transfer request at a reasonable time.
It is claimed the Paris-based giants then went on to complain of the "damages" of Mbappe's announcement last month and also acknowledged their own shortcomings in terms of recruitment at the start of this past season.
PSG, though, were said to insist that they did do their best to respond to his demands, something they state they would not have done for any other player.

It remains to be seen if Mbappe will push for a transfer away from the club in this window amid reports he would be owed a significant loyalty bonus if he is still at the Ligue 1 winners in September.
