While Messi is yet to be officially unveiled by the US team, the Argentine has agreed to sign for the club co-owned by legendary footballer David Beckham.
Busquets, an ex-teammate of his at Barcelona, will also continue his career at the Florida-based franchise, while former Blaugrana manager Gerardo Martino has been announced as the team's new head coach after Phil Neville was sacked in June following a run of poor results.
More familiar names are reportedly set to reunite with Messi in the United States, with Sport claiming that Jordi Alba and Sergio Ramos are next on the club's agenda.
While Alba decided to terminate his contract with Barcelona following discussions with the LaLiga champions' board, Ramos has become a free agent after his contract at Paris Saint-Germain expired at the end of last month.
The ex-Spain captain was believed to want to renew his deal in Paris, but saw his wish rejected after the Ligue 1 champions thought it was time to move the centre-back on due to his age and salary.

Both Alba and Ramos are said to be close to committing the latter stages of their careers to Inter Miami after reportedly opting against big-money moves to Saudi Pro League.
