With rumours claiming that Harry Kane is intent on moving to Manchester United, the Red Devils have now reportedly given the forward an ultimatum if he wishes to make the transfer a reality.

It has been widely reported that Erik ten Hag has identified the England captain as his main striking target for this transfer window. Likewise, Kane is believed to only want a move to Old Trafford, but the potential transfer has a major stumbling block, Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy.
The English executive is said to have remained adamant that his talisman will not leave during this window to join a fellow English club under any circumstances, and consequently, United are prepared to walk away from their pursuit of the 29-year-old marksman.
However, in a last-ditch effort to land one of the most prolific strikers in Premier League history, the record English top-flight champions have told the London native to hand in a transfer request or make a statement in which it is made clear his desire to join the Mancunians.
This is according to The Sun, who also claim that while the three-time UEFA Champions League winners have classified Kane as top transfer target, they are not willing to have a drawn-out transfer saga involving the Spurs academy graduate.
United are already embroiled in tough negotiations involving another London-based English star in Mason Mount. The attacking midfielder is rumoured to have already agreed personal terms with the club, but Chelsea are sticking to their €70 million (R1.4 billion) asking price for the playmaker, with the Red Devils yet to meet it.

Recent reports have suggested that the 24-year-old has turned down the opportunity to extend with the Blues yet again, so it remains to be seen if they will be willing to drop their price.
