On Wednesday night, the Giallorossi lost to Sevilla on penalties in Budapest as Mourinho lost his first ever European final.
According to UOL Esporte, the 60-year-old tactician is now likely to head to France to become Paris Saint-Germain's newest manager.
The Brazilian publication claims that if Mourinho had won a sixth European title, it was guaranteed that he would head to the Parc des Princes, but the defeat may not even matter as the Setubal native is still likely to head to the French capital.
Rumours of the three-time Premier League winner heading to Paris have been circulating for months, with Les Parisiens seemingly preparing to relieve Christophe Galtier of his duties.
Mourinho is entering the final year of his contract in Rome, and prior to the loss in Hungary, told members of the media that his players know what his decision on his future will be.
Speculation has been rife about his unhappiness with the lack of resources at his disposal at the Stadio Olimpico, and the three-time Serie A champions have also officially failed to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League.
