Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has made his intentions clear about challenging Mamelodi Sundowns for the DStv Premiership next season.
Pirates have a chance of completing a cup double this season after they won the MTN8 early in the campaign and are in the final of the Nedbank Cup against Sekhukhune United on Saturday.

The Buccaneers have also qualified for the CAF Champions League after finishing as runners-up in the DStv Premiership following their thumping 4-0 win over AmaZulu in their final league game.
However, Riveiro says he does not measure their success this season based on titles but suggested the future looks bright.
"We don't measure our level of success because of the titles, as coaches we think about today and we also have one eye on the future and I think we have reasons to be optimistic, to be positive about what's coming for us," Riveiro said in a press conference.
The Spanish mentor continued and said that what they achieved this season is "not enough" and reiterated that they will challenge "every team" for the league title next season.
"But we will start again in two months with zero points. What we achieved right now I think it's very important, we have one more game to play, with one more title that is in our hands to get," he said.
"But still it's not enough. We want to go forward, we want to really challenge every team next season, starting with zero points again like I said. And for that we need to be curious, self critical, go really deep to understand what happened this season in our ups and downs and look for room to improve," he added.
Pirates finished 16 points behind champions Mamelodi Sundowns (who won the title for the sixth consecutive season) and lost to them home and away in this campaign.
The Buccaneers proved too strong in cup competitions, after eliminating Sundowns in the MTN8 semi-finals with a 3-0 aggregate win and it is in the league where they will look for improvements and consistency.
