In January, the Portugal right-back made a surprise temporary switch to the German giants until the end of the season in a deal that included an option to buy.
Reports suggest Cancelo would cost Bayern €70 million (R1.4 billion) as per the agreement, an option the club will not exercise, according to reporter Florian Plettenberg.

The Bundesliga leaders are said to feel that the 28-year-old is too expensive, with the player himself reportedly having already accepted his loan stay will not be made permanent.
Cancelo has made 19 appearances for Bayern since his January arrival, contributing to an impressive seven goals in all competitions.
The ex-Inter Milan and Juventus fullback was once seemingly among Pep Guardiola's key players in England before it was claimed he had become disillusioned with his role prior to his move at the turn of the year.
