Fulham 1-2 Manchester City
Manchester City moved top of the Premier League table with a 2-1 win away to Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
The Citizens were without talisman Kevin de Bruyne, as Julian Alvarez was drafted into the line-up.
Alvarez made his presence known early on after winning a penalty on three minutes, which Erling Haaland converted for his 50th goals in all competitions.
Fulham weren't behind for too long as Carlos Vinicius got the equaliser on 15 minutes with a thumping volley that sailed into the top corner.
City would get back on level terms ten minutes before the break when Alvarez found the top corner with a superb strike from distance.
Manchester United 1-0 Aston Villa
Manchester United got back to winning ways in the league after defeating high-flying Aston Villa 1-0 at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag's charges dominated the proceedings but found it tough to punish Villa's high defensive line, with Casemiro going closest with a strike that hit the crossbar.
The Red Devils got the breakthrough seven minutes before the break when Rashford's shot was parried into the path of Bruno Fernandes, who turned home the rebound.
That proved to be the only goal of the game as United held on for the win to cement fourth spot.
Newcastle United 4-1 Southampton
Newcastle United maintained third place after coming from behind to thrash Southampton 4-1 at St Jame's Park.
The Saints got the surprising lead five minutes before the halftime break, with Stuart Armstrong turning home Kamaldeen Sulemana's cross from a swift counter-attack.
The hosts were back on level terms ten minutes after the break when Callum Wilson turned home Alexander Isak's cross, before Newcastle took the lead through Kieran Trippier's deflected strike.
Wilson rounded off the scoring for the home side with nine minutes left on the clock with a composed finish from close range.
Bournemouth 4-1 Leeds United
Bournemouth gave their survival hopes a massive boost after thrashing fellow relegation candidates 4-1 on Sunday afternoon.
Jefferson Lerma got the breakthrough for the Cherries on 20 minutes with a powerful finish after Leeds failed to clear from a corner.
Lerma completed his brace three minutes later with another sumptuous finish, while Patrick Bamford pulled one back for Leeds with a close-range header.
The home side did go on to grab the third goal just after the hour mark, with Dominic Solanke finding the back of the net from a tight angle.
