This past weekend, the 2015 CAF African Player of the Year was photographed in the dressing room of the Blaugrana following their dramatic 2-1 victory against Real Madrid in LaLiga, a win that means Xavi Hernandez's side are now 12 points clear of their rivals.
According to Sport, the expectation is for the west London side to release the forward during the off-season as a result.
The 33-year-old has fallen dramatically out of favour at Stamford Bridge since Graham Potter was brought in to replace German tactician Thomas Tuchel, even being axed from the Blues' UEFA Champions League squad for the knockout phases earlier this year.
Aubameyang is still greatly appreciated in Catalonia and the LaLiga table-toppers would reportedly be open to welcoming back the former Gabon international after his fruitful spell at the Camp Nou in 2022.
In the 24 games he played in front of the Culers, the striker found the back of the net 13 times, with the same report claiming that he is still adored amongst not only the Barca dressing room but also within the club's hierarchy.
