Both Messi and Ramos are out of contract at the end of the season and it remains to be seen whether or not the veteran duo will be at the Parc des Princes come the 2023/24 campaign, with L'Equipe claiming that PSG have stalled negotiations with both players.
The renewal of the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner, in particular, is a top priority at the club amid reports suggesting that a verbal agreement is in place for a two-year extension with the Rosario native.
What reportedly needs to be finalised are the finances surrounding a possible extension, but it seems that may only be done once the club reduces their hefty wage bill ahead of the coming campaign.
The same report suggests that Les Parisiens are in danger of once again violating FFP regulations and will need to sell a number of players who seem to be on the periphery if they do not want to be fined tens of millions.
