Currently embroiled in a tight race for the Premier League title with Arsenal, it seems the Spanish tactician is already plotting how the Citizens can be England's best team next season.
According to Relevo, Guardiola wants to reinforce his team with additions in defence, midfielder and attack, and has quality targets all over Europe in mind.
Up front, the Citizens want to acquire a left-winger and have identified Rafael Leao as their prime candidate.
The Portugal international won the 2021/22 Serie A Most Valuable Player award, and the Catalan coach is understood to be a long-time admirer of the AC Milan attacker.
Here are the three players said to be on Pep Guardiola's wish list for the off-season transfer window:
In the middle of the park, the Mancunians are likely to lose both Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva at the end of the season, and are said to see Borussia Dortmund captain Jude Bellingham as the player who can rejuvenate their central midfield.
The English teenager is, however, being courted by multiple European giants such as Real Madrid, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, and will likely cost those interested in the region of €120 million (R2.3 billion).
In the City back four, the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona manager reportedly wants to add another player from the Bundesliga in RB Leipzig's Josko Gvardiol.
The Zagreb native is considered one of Europe's best defenders today and, following his performances at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, has caught the eye of the Premier League champions.
Leipzig have not lost a UEFA Champions League game in which the 21-year-old has played this season, with Gvardiol even scoring the equaliser in their latest European tie against Guardiola's men.

City are reportedly looking to generate funds for the Gvardiol transfer through the sale of Aymeric Laporte, who has been linked with several Spanish clubs, including Barcelona.
