Jali's future is up in the air.
His coach, Rulani Mokwena says he wants to keep him, but Mamelodi Sundowns are non-committal on his future and his agent Mike Makaab says the club needs to make a decision, while Jali is understood to be open to a move to the Mother City, as reported by the Siya crew.
The 33-year-old was among the club's best players last season, but all that has changed so far in the current campaign, as Teboho Mokoena has been elevated to the preferred holding midfielder ahead of the likes of Jali and Bongani Zungu.
City are believed to be keen on Jali; however, the latest news reaching the desk of the Siya crew, is Jali's current package at Sundowns.
The Citizens, led by astute businessman John Comitis, have enjoyed an efficient model, that has seen the club rope in some of the best players, both locally and abroad, without breaking the bank, before going on to sell their best players at the right price.
With Jali believed to be on the higher end of earners at Sundowns, a move to City would be unlikely come the end of the season, unless the midfielder decides on a pay cut to join City at the end of the campaign.
