With Casemiro set to miss Manchester United's clash against Arsenal this coming weekend through suspension, Erik ten Hag has addressed the situation following his side's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.

The Brazilian picked up his fifth yellow card of the Premier League season following a tough challenge on Wilfried Zaha in the second half of United's draw at Selhurst Park.
As a result, the former Real Madrid midfielder will be unavailable for the Red Devils in their league match against Arsenal this coming Sunday, with many believing his absence is a blow to United's chances of winning at the Emirates Stadium.
Ten Hag, however, has suggested that Casemiro needed to start against Palace and understands why the experienced international decided to not let Zaha get past him before entering the United penalty area.
"This game was important, every game is important. Every game in the Premier League is a top game," the Dutchman said, according to the Daily Mail.
"His challenge was instinctive. He missed the ball. It's quite clear it would have been a dangerous situation. Casemiro wanted to stop it and that was his reaction.
"He is a really important player for us and one of the reasons we are in the position we are in.
"But we have a squad strong enough to fill that gap. The last time we beat Arsenal without Casemiro, so this time we need to do the same."
Casemiro has been an important player for United since he was integrated into the squad following a slow start to life in England's top division, having so far made 16 league appearances.
