An African international has been linked with a shock transfer away from Barcelona after joining the club just seven months ago.
International Star 'Decides' To Leave Barcelona
Reports in Spain suggest that Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessie could return to Serie A in this transfer window, despite committing to a four-year deal at the Blaugrana in July last year.
Kessie, 26, has struggled for regular minutes at the Catalan giants since his arrival, having appeared just eight times in LaLiga so far.
Fichajes claims the former AC Milan star could be heading back to Italy in the coming weeks, with the likes of Frenkie de Jong, Sergio Busquets, Pedri and Gavi all ahead of him in the pecking order at Barca.
Inter Milan, rivals of his ex-club, are believed to be interested in the African star and could involve Croatia international Marcelo Brozovic in a swap deal.
Blaugrana head coach Xavi Hernandez would reportedly be open to a move for the Inter midfielder, whom he believes could be a short-term replacement for Sergio Busquets should the Spaniard depart at the end of the season.
Xavi Reacts To Winning First Trophy As Barca Boss
Other reports in Spain suggest that Kessie will be patient as he tries to work his way into Xavi's plans, but he is concerned after playing just 664 minutes in all competitions since his arrival.
