The next few months will be crucial for Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Surprise Ralani, but a change in the technical team could work in his favour with his contract coming to an end in June 2023.
Ralani joined Sundowns on an 18-month contract in January from Cape Town City and was widely praised by new head coach Rulani Mokwena for his attacking and dribbling statistics.

A lot of questions were asked about why Sundowns were signing a 34-year-old player, but his introduction as a substitute in the 5-0 victory over Maritzburg United on Tuesday night could give him hope that more game time will come his way so that he can prove himself in the team.
With a star-studded team, Ralani has found it difficult to get into the team this season, making just four appearances in all competitions. All of his appearances have come as a substitute, but he will be hoping that Mokwena's appointment as head coach will open the door to more minutes on the pitch.

Sundowns, meanwhile, are also expected to make a decision on the future of attacker Lesedi Kapinga, who could make a move away from the club in January transfer window. Luvuyo Phewa and Katlego Mohamme could be loaned out in January for them to go get game-time and experience elsewhere.
The DStv Premiership champions will be in action this weekend when they take on Royal AM at Chatsworth Stadium.
