It seems that the patience among the Culers is wearing thin with Pique as Barca fans made their feelings regarding the 35-year-old known when he came off the bench for the Blaugrana against the Yellow Submarine.
The 2010 FIFA World Cup winner has been the culprit of some high-profile errors in recent weeks, with whistle's ringing throughout the Camp Nou when he replaced Jules Kounde in the 78th minute.
Head coach Xavi, however, has condemned the negativity surrounding the central defender, calling for supporters to get behind the Spaniard instead of taunting him.
"I called for unity. It's time to be together," he said, as per Goal.
"All I can say is that in the dressing room he is an example. And he's a great captain. People need to know that.
"I don't know why they whistle and I don't care either… What matters to me is that Pique is with us in the dressing room and he always does the best for the group.
"Today the reaction was required and the team reacted wonderfully. I'm happy to be Pique's coach."

Pique has cemented his place as one of the greats at Barca ever since re-joining the club in 2008 from Manchester United. The La Masia alumni has helped the club win eight LaLiga titles, as well as three UEFA Champions League trophies over the last 14 years.
As he enters the final year of this contract with the club though, it remains to be seen whether Xavi will extend his tenure in Catalonia, especially considering the emergence of Ronald Araujo, and the acquisitions of Kounde and Andreas Christensen.
